Completing Your Background Check for Coaching

If you volunteered to coach, you will need to complete a background check by The McDowell Agency for Minnesota Youth Soccer Association. Please follow these steps:

1. Visit  www.mcdowellagency.com
2. Click Client Log-in at the top right part of the page.
3. In the User ID field, enter: MYSCSA
4. In the Password field, enter: MYSCSA
5. Click Login.
6. Click Request near the top of the page.
7. Type your full name into the Electronic Signature box and click to mark the box next to “My name entered above signifies my Electronic Signature.”
8. Click Continue to proceed.
9. Enter the following required information:
  • Last Name
  • First Name
  • Current Address
  • City
  • State
  • ZIP Code
  • Date Of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Gender
  • Volunteer’s Primary Phone
  • Volunteer’s Primary Email
10. Click Continue to proceed.
11. Under Criminal Court Searches, click Add/Edit Jurisdictions to bring up the Add Criminal Court Searches page.
12. Specify the following on the Add Criminal Court Searches page:
On the first row:
  • Under Search Type, select Felony and Misdemeanor from the list.
  • Under State, select MN from the list.
  • Under County/Jurisdiction, select your county of residence (listed in alphabetical order).
On the second row:
  • Under Search Type, select Felony and Misdemeanor from the list.
  • Under State, select MN from the list.
  • Under County/Jurisdiction, select Statewide (the last item in the list).
13. Click Add Searches to Order. You are returned to the Request Search Details page.
14. Click Agree and Submit Order.
15. Print your receipt and log off.
